Product Information & Natural Variation

Fast Pack Charcoal supplies premium oak hardwood lumpwood charcoal produced from naturally sun dried hardwood using traditional carbonisation methods. Because lumpwood charcoal is a completely natural product manufactured from real hardwood, every charcoal bag will naturally vary in lump size, lump shape, density, carbon structure, burn appearance, weight distribution, surface texture, dust content, and fragmentation levels. No charcoal bag supplied by Fastpack Distribution Ltd will ever be completely identical to another.

Customers acknowledge that charcoal naturally contains a mixture of medium and large lump sizes together with smaller fragments created during the production, transport, filtering, palletising, loading, unloading, and distribution process. Minor breakage, dust residue, carbon marks, and natural cracking patterns are considered normal characteristics of hardwood lumpwood charcoal and do not constitute defects.
All images shown on our website, marketing material, social media, product listings, brochures, packaging, or advertisements are provided for general illustration purposes only. Actual charcoal appearance, lump size distribution, and packaging appearance may vary between batches due to the natural manufacturing process.

Charcoal Performance Disclaimer

Charcoal performance can vary significantly depending on storage conditions, moisture exposure, grill type, airflow, ignition method, weather conditions, user handling, fuel loading techniques, and cooking environments. Burn duration, spark levels, ash production, heat output, smoke levels, and cooking performance are therefore approximate performance characteristics only and cannot be guaranteed under every operating condition.

Fastpack Distribution Ltd does not guarantee identical burn behaviour across every charcoal bag due to the natural variation found in hardwood charcoal products. Customers acknowledge that charcoal is a raw natural carbon fuel product and not a uniform manufactured material.

Storage Responsibilities

Customers are fully responsible for the safe storage and handling of all charcoal products once delivered or collected. Charcoal must always be stored in dry, ventilated environments away from standing water, excessive humidity, direct rainfall, condensation, naked flames, sparks, heaters, electrical ignition sources, flammable chemicals, or combustible waste materials.

Charcoal can naturally absorb or release environmental moisture depending on surrounding humidity and atmospheric conditions. Weight fluctuations of approximately 5% to 10% may naturally occur depending on storage environments, warehouse humidity, temperature changes, and seasonal atmospheric conditions. Improper storage may negatively affect burn performance, ignition stability, and overall charcoal quality.
Commercial customers storing large charcoal quantities are strongly advised to maintain proper warehouse ventilation, moisture management systems, and humidity control procedures. In larger storage facilities, commercial dehumidification systems may be required to help stabilise storage conditions and reduce environmental moisture exposure.

Fastpack Distribution Ltd accepts no responsibility for charcoal deterioration, moisture absorption, mould, packaging weakening, damaged stock, environmental contamination, warehouse humidity exposure, water damage, condensation exposure, or burn performance changes caused after delivery or collection.

Fire Safety & Combustible Material Disclaimer

Charcoal is a combustible carbon fuel product and must be handled responsibly at all times. Customers are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable UK fire safety legislation, storage regulations, workplace safety requirements, and risk assessment obligations relating to combustible materials.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) states that combustible materials and ignition sources must always be properly separated and managed within workplaces to reduce fire and explosion risks.

Customers must ensure charcoal is never:

  • Stored near naked flames, heaters, sparks, or electrical ignition sources

  • Burned indoors without suitable ventilation

  • Stored in unsafe or poorly ventilated environments

  • Mixed with accelerants, flammable liquids, or hazardous chemicals

  • Left unattended during ignition or cooking

Fastpack Distribution Ltd shall not be liable for any injury, fire, smoke damage, carbon monoxide exposure, explosion, warehouse incident, commercial loss, property damage, or misuse resulting from incorrect storage, unsafe handling, improper ventilation, incorrect ignition methods, or failure to follow safe fire handling practices.

Commercial & Wholesale Disclaimer

Commercial customers including wholesalers, supermarkets, cash and carries, restaurants, distributors, retailers, catering companies, and hospitality businesses are fully responsible for maintaining safe commercial storage environments, staff handling procedures, fire prevention systems, and workplace health and safety compliance.
Fastpack Distribution Ltd accepts no liability for operational downtime, stock loss, warehouse incidents, employee handling injuries, business interruption, improper commercial storage, or third party handling once goods have been delivered or collected.

Packaging Disclaimer
Our charcoal packaging is designed to improve commercial durability during nationwide distribution and handling operations. However, because lumpwood charcoal naturally contains dense and sharp edged hardwood pieces, minor packaging wear, surface marks, compression damage, charcoal dust transfer, and handling marks may naturally occur during loading, unloading, transport, palletising, warehouse movement, or storage.

Packaging damage caused by incorrect storage conditions, moisture exposure, forklift handling, transport movement after delivery, or third party logistics providers is not the responsibility of Fastpack Distribution Ltd.
Deliveries & Transport
Fastpack Distribution Ltd provides nationwide charcoal distribution across the United Kingdom. Delivery availability, minimum order quantities, and delivery pricing may vary depending on customer location, order volume, access conditions, transport scheduling, and operational requirements.

Many commercial deliveries are intentionally transported unpalletised in order to maximise vehicle stock capacity and transport efficiency. Orders may subsequently be manually palletised or organised into cages on site at customer warehouses or depots where agreed.
Delivery times are estimated only and may vary due to traffic delays, weather conditions, labour availability, road closures, warehouse access restrictions, mechanical issues, or external logistics disruptions. Fastpack Distribution Ltd shall not be held liable for indirect losses, operational disruption, delayed business activity, or commercial losses caused by delivery delays.
Risk and responsibility for all products transfer fully to the customer upon completion of delivery or collection.
Collections

Customers collecting goods from Fastpack Distribution Ltd premises are responsible for ensuring vehicles are suitable for transport, safely loaded, properly secured, and compliant with all UK transport and road safety regulations. Once products leave our premises, all responsibility transfers fully to the customer.

Returns, Refunds & Claims Policy
Due to the natural and combustible nature of charcoal products, Fastpack Distribution Ltd does not generally offer returns, exchanges, or refunds once products have been delivered or collected unless agreed otherwise at our discretion.
Customers must inspect deliveries promptly and report any issues immediately together with proof of purchase, invoice details, order identification numbers, and supporting photographs where applicable. Failure to provide an order ID or proof of purchase may delay or prevent claim assessment.

Refunds, replacements, or returns may only be considered where Fastpack Distribution Ltd determines there is a verified issue with the supplied goods. Products that have been opened, partially used, exposed to moisture, incorrectly stored, repackaged, damaged after delivery, or handled by third parties will not qualify for return consideration.
Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes statutory rights available under applicable UK consumer protection legislation.

Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted under the laws of England and Wales, Fastpack Distribution Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect losses, consequential damages, loss of profits, commercial interruption, operational downtime, property damage, fire damage, injury, carbon monoxide exposure, warehouse incidents, stock deterioration, moisture damage, or third party losses arising from the use, storage, transport, resale, handling, or misuse of supplied charcoal products.

Total liability for any successful claim shall not exceed the original purchase value of the supplied goods.

Intellectual Property
All website content, branding, product descriptions, written content, marketing materials, images, logos, and intellectual property associated with Fastpack Distribution Ltd remain the property of the company unless otherwise stated. Unauthorised copying, reproduction, commercial use, or redistribution is strictly prohibited.

Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from the supply or use of products supplied by Fastpack Distribution Ltd shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
